The first of a series of live music events will kick off at the legendary Nottingham Road Hotel in the heart of the KZN Midlands on Sunday
4 June 2017, and thereafter on the first Sunday of every month.

Dubbed ‘Notties Sunday Live’, the debut event promises to be a fun day out for the whole family, with great music, food and drinks all on offer in the relaxed setting of the hotel’s lush open grounds.

The line-up includes singer-songwriter-guitarist and former Tree63 frontman John Ellis, as well as popular Vryheid musician Phillip Taylor.  Also on the bill is young Howick songstress Bianca Santoro, who is quickly making a name for herself on the South African music scene.

Advance tickets are available at www.quicket.co.za and cost R75 for adults and R20 for kids under 12.  Children under four get in free.  Tickets will also be on sale at the gate on the day.

Gates open at 10am, with the first act up at 11am.  Food and drinks will be on sale and no refreshments may be brought into the venue.  Limited seating, so bring along your picnic blankets and camping chairs!

The hotel is situated just 8km off the N3 on the R103 in Nottingham Road.

More about the festival…
Now in its 12th year, White Mountain is the perfect opportunity to escape the city and unwind in a stunning setting while enjoying a great line-up of some of the best acoustic acts in the country.

Known for its intimate, relaxed atmosphere, the festival is held at White Mountain Lodge near Giant’s Castle in the scenic central Drakensberg (KZN), just 28km off the N3 on tarred roads, 185km from Durban and 400km from Johannesburg.

Aside from the music, visitors can look forward to a wide variety of food and drink outlets, colourful arts and crafts, plus loads of leisure activities for the whole family.  These include abseiling, a 100m zip line, stand-up paddle boarding on the dam, fishing, volleyball, guided hikes and supervised activities (like scavenger hunts) for the kids.  Festival-goers also enjoy full access to the lodge’s spacious grounds, dam, swimming pool and charming old pub with satellite TV and late-night live music.

Accommodation options…
Tickets include general camping for the entire festival.  However, if you’re looking for a few more home comforts, there is also the option of booking into an on-site ‘tent hotel’, offering a stylish, hassle-free camping experience.  A limited number of chalets and electrified caravan/camping sites are also available.  More info here.

One of the best-kept secrets on the music festival circuit, White Mountain is definitely not to be missed!  Expect great music, fun times and smiles all around from this gem of an event.
