Aside from the music, festival-goers can look forward to loads of fun outdoor activities for the whole family – or there’s the option of simply taking time out to enjoy the peace and tranquillity of one of the most idyllic spots in the Central Drakensberg. There’ll also be colourful market stalls, a wide variety of food and drink outlets, entertainment for the kids and all the necessary amenities (like hot showers) to make the festival as enjoyable as possible. Medical and security services will also be available around the clock.

An added bonus is that festival-goers can make full use of the lodge’s facilities, including a charming old stone pub (Tom’s Tavern) with satellite TV and late-night live music; a convenience store; games room and children’s playground; plus a large swimming pool and spacious grounds overlooking the dam. Don’t forget to bring sunscreen, warm clothes and cash (no ATM on site).

Food! While self-catering is always an option at White Mountain, why worry when there are top-class food outlets on site to tantalise your taste buds? Expect everything from freshly baked paninis and pizzas to lamb and venison potjie, quality fast foods, gourmet smoked meats, tacos, authentic vegetarian and Indian fare, Belgian waffles, soft serve ice cream, milkshakes, smoothies and speciality coffees. Talk about being spoilt for choice! As there is a risk of runaway fire, open wood or charcoal braais and campfires are unfortunately not allowed. Gas cooking equipment is permitted though and there will also be communal braai areas and fire pits.
